Elevate Your Driving Experience with the 2024 Lamborghini Huracan EVO

Despite being ten years old, the Lamborghini Huracan is still one of the truest supercars you can purchase. As a super-sports car, the Lamborghini Huracán delivers all the power and technology of a genuine race car in a road-legal model. There's nothing quite like it on the market, so if you're interested in a unique driving experience and the least expensive model available, the Lamborghini Huracan EVO is the model for you.

Experience the Power of the Lamborghini Huracan STO

The Lamborghini Huracán STO is a super sports car that's as close to driving a race car as many will get. According to Lamborghini, the new STO (Super Trofeo Omologata) is the first car they've developed where track capability takes precedence over road driving. With a mighty V10 engine, improved aerodynamics, a stripped-out interior, and the most capable braking system ever developed - we believe them. If a powerful and unique driving experience is what you're looking for, look no further than the Lamborghini Huracán STO.

The new model year sees slight changes made to the Huracan EVO. Now, the model is no longer offered as a coupe. Instead, it's now exclusively a droptop Spyder variant. Also, this appears to be the last year the Huracan will be in production. Next year, the veteran supercar will be replaced by a new plug-in hybrid with an all-new nameplate.

The new model year brings several changes to the STO model. For instance, the front driveshafts are removed, making the STO purely rear-wheel drive. Also, several weight-saving measures have been implemented to make the STO 43kg lighter. A thinner windscreen that is 20 percent lighter has even been installed, and Lamborghini has abandoned the ALA technology. Now, the rear spoiler's pillars are manually adjustable.

Design

The interior of the Huracan offers a unique design that boasts various technical advancements. Some are more performance oriented, while others are more aesthetic driven. For instance, the cabin can be customized with multiple color and material options for a truly unique look.

There's also supportive seats that are bisected by a partially floating center console. The console incorporates slick toggle switches and an exciting push-button shifter. Additionally, there's some cubby storage on the doors, but these are admittedly small, and modest front trunk that can hold some light luggage.

The Lamborghini Huracán STO is an impressive vehicle that bucks many of Lamo's usual trends. The doors, for example, are conventional instead of winged, the floor is carbon fiber, and the seats are some of the most comfortable the brand has produced.

As you'd expect from a performance model and Lamborghini, the seats are very low, and the windscreen is deep. While this results in better driving performance, it doesn't reduce much outside noise. However, the cabin quality is still impressive. While the STO is striking, it's not very practical as there are no cupholders, and the nose area makes it tricky to access the engine.

THE HURACAN PERFORMANCE, TECHNOLOGY, SAFETY & SECURITY

Performance

The Huracan EVO sports an impressive 5.2-liter V10 engine that's produces 631 horsepower, 416 lbs.-ft of torque, and 8,500-rpm redline. This output results in the EVO reaching zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds. Every Huracán is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic that can be controlled via a set of paddle shifters, and the rear wheel is now standard to help improve agility.

For an even greater performance, Lamborghini has outfitted the Huracan EVO with three drive modes: STO, Trofeo, and Pioggia (Road, Race, Rain). These drive models control five parameters: engine response, exhaust, gearbox, the MagneRide 2.0 suspension, and ESC. These modes help drivers control every aspect of the EVO's performance and allow it to maneuver in any road condition.

Technology

In most cars, the infotainment features are a notable highlight. But we'd argue that the 8.4-inch touchscreen with controls for the audio system, climate settings, and other media content is the least interesting thing about this elite sports car.

Although the EVO is equipped with tech like Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa, the model's suite of exclusive connected technologies called Lamborghini Connect is a real standout. With Lamborghini Connect, you can elevate your driving experience to the next level thanks to features like precise real-time travel, route and destination updates, and real-time traffic information. Drivers can even manage the status of the Huracan through features like on-board telemetry, a car finder, and vehicle status report.

Safety & Security

Unlike most modern vehicles, the Lamborghini Huracan EVO lacks the driver-assistance technology commonly found on other vehicles. Instead, this supercar has a host of performance assists that help the driver maintain control at triple-digit speeds or when cornering.

However, for those wondering, the EVO has common features such as six airbags, ABS, and front and rear parking sensors. The parking sensors are critical as visibility directly behind the vehicle can be tough, and the sensors help alert you to obstacles that may not be visible.

For security purposes, Lamborghini has installed several features to keep track of your six-figure vehicle. There's a Geofencing Alert system to track the model anywhere and a Valet Alert to ensure no one uses your vehicle without permission.

Performance

Powering the STO model is an impressive 5.2-liter V10 that outputs 631 horsepower and 416 lbs.-ft of torque. But for a model like the STO, there's more to it than just pure power. There are three drive modes: STO, Trofeo, and Pioggia (Road, Race, Rain), and they control five separate parameters: engine response, exhaust, gearbox, the MagneRide 2.0 suspension, and ESC. The result is a vehicle that needs to be experienced to be believed as it delivers a race-like quality in a street-legal model.

Technology

The exclusive suite of connected technologies called Lamborghini Connect helps to elevate drivers' engagement to an unheard-of level. Lamborghini Connect offers precise real-time travel, route and destination updates, plus real-time traffic information. Drivers can even manage the status and condition of the STO through the model's 12.3-inch dash screen and 8.4-inch center console with features like on-board telemetry, a car finder, and vehicle status report.

Safety & Security

A model like the Huracán STO is built with speed in mind. But as many racecar drivers will tell you, speed like the one produced by the STO must be carefully managed to ensure safety. For this reason, Lamborghini has installed advanced assistance services to monitor your vehicle.

A speed alert system will track how fast you're going and warn you to slow down. There are also six airbags, ABS, and lane change assist. There are unique security features like a Geofencing Alert system to track the model anywhere and a valet alert to ensure no one uses your vehicle without permission.
