Lamborghini Urus S and Urus Performante Differences

Both the Lamborghini Urus S and Urus Performante are new for the 2023 model year, and on the surface, they seem similar. But from the driver's seat, the Performante offers a remarkably different driving experience thanks to its track-focused design.

What's New on the 2023 Lamborghini Urus S

The Urus S replaces the entry-level vehicle and receives an increase in horsepower to 657. It also gets redesigned front and rear bumpers and a re-tuned exhaust. There are also some new interior trim and exterior paint options; alternatively, you can opt for Ad Personam options.

A new skidplate is added to the Urus S, increasing aerodynamics and protecting the vehicle's underside. Lamborghini quotes a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds, compared to 3.3 seconds for the Performante.

The 2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante

The Performante receives the same horsepower and torque, but there are many racing-inspired changes behind the scenes. Track-minded improvements start with the exhaust: a full-titanium unit designed by Akrapovic, allowing the fiery twin-turbo V8 to sing at full volume. The Performante is fitted with a completely different suspension, using steel springs designed to optimize handling rather than comfort-minded air struts. These changes, alongside more extensive use of carbon fiber, have reduced the Urus Performante's weight by over 100 pounds.

The Performante also receives a bespoke rear wing, lightweight 22-inch wheels, and a Rally driving mode that allows drivers to optimize the Urus' handling characteristics on loose surfaces, like dirt or gravel. While the 2023 Lamborghini Urus S and Urus Performante are landmark performers, the Performante is considerably more purpose-built.
